We are very fortunate to be able to launch kayaks within only 100m of the house!

You can choose a lazy afternoon on the Lake or a more action packed trip along the River Rothay down into Ambleside taking in the stepping stones and a Weir on the way - Great fun when the river is in spate.

The photograph above was taken in Ocober 2005 and is just alongside the house upsteam of Pelter Bridge.
The hardest work is just carrying your kayaks from the garden gate - then getting tem back to the house of course!

We have ample car parking here at Cote How and can accommodate your trailers. We also have drying facilities for your own use.
